Ive found a GT Avalanche 2.0 2004 that is cheap. However i do not want
front suspension. Im after a fully rigid bike for some road use and light
trails. I've been looking around for some rigid forks which are 1 1/8" and
are compatible with the Ahead headset fitted to the bike and have found the
Kona Project II's. Are these the best rigid forks i can find which would be
suitable for me? Got about £60 to spend on forks.

Thx for your help

I don't know what those forks look like but to go to a rigid for these
days you have to take into account that your frame was designed with a
longer suspension fork in mind. So measure from the drop out to the
bottom of the headset, you want a rigid fork that is within an inch of
that length.
