Marzocchi MX Comp - Anyone removed the coils

Does anyone know if you can remove the coils from the Marzocchi MC Comp
Coil and run it a an air shock? It apears that the Coil and the Air
versions are identical except for the springs. This fork is the '04
version that has the schrader valves at the top of each leg.

Just for archive purposes I will relpy to my own post. I received word
back from Marzocchi that the fork can be run without the coils and the
warranty would not be affected.
