Yesterday was a sad day. Took my first mountain bike ride in quite a
while and today I'm almost totally incapacitated. I've got
degenerative disc problems with extensive deterioration of the L3, L4,
L5, and S1 discs. I'm riding a Fisher aluminum hardtail with
Thudbuster seatpost, which helps a lot and used to allow me to ride
off-road. My question is; would a full suspension bike make a
significant difference (in comfort)? I'm not doing any big drops, just
the normal rocks, roots, and ruts found on most of the easier trails
around here. My budget won't allow for another bike right now, but I'd
like to plan for the future. If full suspension is better in my case,
what are some good bikes to look at? I don't have any dealers close
by, but 50 miles from here there are dealers that handle Fisher, Trek,
Schwinn, Specialized and Giant. Price range would be probably
$750-$1,000 dollars. Thanks in advance for all replies.
