where is all the conversation?

OK. So I've been reading this newsgroup for a few days, but I have to
wonder--mountain biking is immensely popular, so why isn't there an
enormous amount of talk on this newsgroup? The only thing I can think
is that this isn't the "real" mountain biking newsgroup...
If so, I have two questions: a) what is this one's focus, if not
strictly mountain biking (and I can read the name, dont worry), and b)
where is the mountain biking newsgroup everyone is on?

(that and I apologize for this absolutely horrible question... I know
I'd really hate it if someone wrote something like this in a newsgroup I
frequented)
