Hi,

I wonder whether anyone might be able to offer me some advice. I am
trying to decide what bike to buy. I would like to use it for
commuting in the city, but also for off-roading at weekends. The bike
I like most is the Cannondale Bad Boy, but I can only afford the rigid
version. Is it madness, in this day and age, to buy an off-road bike
without suspension?

Thanks

Tom

That would be a fine choice for your mix of riding. You can always upgrade
a bike like that as time and money permits. If your off-road time
increases, buy some suspension for the front. Everything else can be
upgraded if you like over time.
