I'm new to mountain biking, but I really want to learn more about how
to be a better rider, and moreso, learn about different types of bikes
and parts of a bike. I hear terms like "hardtail", "derailleur" and
disk brakes and it's hard to keep up with it all. I just bought a
Norco Fluid and I want to be able to repair it when needed. Lot's to
learn, I know. Any good sites that spell it out for a rookie like me?
What about books?

Cheers everyone :)

"mountain bike like a champion" (or something liek thaT) by Ned Overend
is a really good book on technique (although it doesn't spend a lot of
time on real basic stuff, a lot of other books do). zinn and the art of
mountain bike repair by leonard zinn is a really good repair manual.
